Keeping Your Star-Sapphire® Dishwasher Fresh Filter and Seal Care
Odors in a Star-Sapphire® dishwasher often live in the filter and door gasket. Drum-clean language from laundry does not apply.
Odors in a Star-Sapphire® dishwasher often sit in the filter and the door gasket. They are not a laundry “drum-clean” problem, and they do not by themselves name a failed control.
After the tub is cool, rinse the filter as the manual describes. Wipe visible soil from the gasket. If the instructions allow it, leave the door slightly open so the interior can dry. Measure detergent; extra soap can leave residue that holds smell.
What not to do
Do not peel the door seal off, mix cleaning chemicals, or scrape the gasket with an abrasive pad. The DWHD770WFP reference is only for identification if that is your label. Persistent odor plus standing water belongs on a diagnosis, not a harsher cleaner.
