How to Clean Your Dishwasher Filter the Right Way

The dishwasher filter is a user-serviceable part when the manual shows how to twist and lift it. That is a cleaning task, not a pump repair.

Wait until the appliance is off and cool. Lift only the parts the instructions name. Rinse the mesh under warm water and use a soft brush on debris. Wipe the housing gently. Refit the filter so it seats before the next cycle.

Limits
