Descaling a Thermador Coffee Machine A Simple Routine
Use the machine prompt and the approved descaler. Vinegar and skipped rinses are not a substitute routine.
Descale prompts exist because mineral scale builds slowly. The useful routine is the one the machine already offers — not a guessed mixture.
Use the approved descaling product and the on-screen or manual sequence. Complete every rinse. Empty the drip tray so the cycle is not interrupted mid-flush.
What descaling is not
It is not a repair for a brew unit that has failed, and it is not a reason to open internal tubing. If a prompt returns immediately or drinks will not pour after a completed cycle, use the coffee-machine category or coffee-machine repair path rather than a second unapproved chemical.

Only if the manual allows it. Most built-in machines specify their own descaler. An unapproved mix can leave residue.
Note the prompt history and request diagnosis. Do not open internal tubing.
Yes. Empty the drip tray and grounds container so the guided cycle can finish.
